Les Gets To Offer Free Skiing For Opening Weekend

Les Gets in the French Portes du Soleil region has announced it will open this weekend, Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December 2009, running its lifts free of charge for guests lucky enough to be in resort.

The La Croix chairlift and Chavannes cable car will be first to open from 9am on Saturday with the : Plateau des Chavannes slope sector open. You’ll need to take the cable car back down to the village when you finish skiing.
For cross country skiers there’ll be as green loop open on the Chauvannes side.
Guests who so wish will be able to donate to the French charity Téléthon, with collecting boxes available for donations.

Ski Test Weekend in Avoriaz 12 & 13th December

The weekend of the 12/13th December 2009 not only is the official opening of Avoriaz ski lifts but also a weekend of free ski testing.

With all the new gear from the top brands, discounted lift passes and bands playing throughout the whole weekend, this event is the perfect start to a great winter season.
